In many applications, the dynamic range of single photon detectors is an important parameter. Thus, it has always been our goal to further reduce the dead time of our COUNT® photon counters. The previous dead time of 55 ns has been reduced to 42 ns in the new modules, which will result in a maximum count rate of more than 23 MHz.
In addition, the tolerance range of the supply voltage has increased. This allows the COUNT® module to react less sensitively to voltage peaks and small deviations in the supply voltage. The detectors are operated at 12 V.
