MAP - Multiple Application Platform

MAP – MAP is the measuring system developed by VIAVI for industrial and laboratory use. There are different measuring platforms available that vary in their number of connection slots. For these platforms plug-in modules for various measurements are available, such as, for example, light sources, filters, or optical switches.

MAP Utility

The MAP Utility (mUTL) is a module used to easily integrate passive optical components in test assemblies

mUTL – For the Integration of Passive Optical Components

The mUTL MAP utility model is used to easily integrate passive optical elements. It is available with adapters for flat or angle polish connectors and for single-mode or multi-mode fibers. In addition, the mUTL is available with WDM components and fused couplers.

A blank MAP Utility cassette is available for mechanical mounting of components such as isolators, circulators, or fixed attenuators. The cassettes are supplied with mounting hardware and ten fiber adapters.
