Optical Detectors

The optical detectors are offered for both power or energy measurements. Measure as low as a few femtojoules in energy or a few picowatts in power. Our optical detectors are also offered in standalone formats, where the electronics are integrated in the head, or as standard sensors.

Optical Detectors for Power Measurement

PH - High power Si or Ge Sensors

Measure as low as a few picowatts with the photodetectors. All listed optical detectors from Gentec-EO are used for laser power measurement.

PH Series - High Power Si or Ge Sensors

The PH sensors are high power optical detectors for measurements up to 750 mW. There are three versions available:

Silicon Sensors: 350 - 1080 nm, up to 50 mW
UV enhanced Silicon Sensors: 210 - 1080 nm, up to 30 mW
Germanium Detectors: 800 - 1650 nm, up to 500 mW

Accessories - Attenuators

OD1/OD2 attenuators sold in option. When bought together, the photodetector is calibrated with and without the attenuator.

PH-B Series

The PH-B photodetector is a very sensitive optical power detector. It measures down to the pW level.
