Sensor Line Used in the Detection of THz and mm Wavelengths
A 30-element pyroelectric sensor line used in the detection of synchrotron radiation in the THz and mm wavelength range.
Pyroelectric Sensors
In collaboration with DESY (the German Electron Synchrotron Institute), InfraTec developed a 30-element pyroelectric sensor line (LIM-107) that detects synchrotron radiation in the THz and mm wavelength range in a spectrometer.
The specifications for the LIM-107 detector are as follows:
- 30 elements, 2 mm x 2 mm, arranged in an arc
- 3 alternative electrode coatings available for the wavelength ranges around 100 µm (3 THz), 300 µm (1 THz), and 1 mm (0.33 THz)
- No window; operation possible in a vacuum
- External dimensions approximately 170 mm x 55 mm x 5 mm
