The world's first commercially available, hermetic 2.94 µm DPSS laser module450 Sheaumann Laser has achieved a breakthrough in DPSS laser technology, resulting in the first commercially available, hermetically-sealed 2.94 µm laser module. With a windowed continuous-wave output of 1 W, it is the highest power that has been produced from this type of compact package. A 0.75 W fibre-coupled version is also available soon.
Included in this world’s first is a typical TEM00 M2 value of 1.12, beam divergence of 1.7 mrad, and 6A maximum drive current. The housing measures 114mm x 38mm x 52mm making it a very compact unit. A separate laser/TEC driver is also available.
The module can be operated both in cw and pulse mode.
