LEA photonics introduce a new F200 platform for their optical fibre amplifiers. The new platform combines the advantages of an OEM module, being compact and robust, with the easy to use front panel interface of a benchtop. The new platform measures only 270 x 190 x 90 mm, making it ideal to fit on a table, and weighs only 2.1 kg, so it is easy to carry.

The amplifier within the F200 platform can be addressed directly, via a user friendly front panel interface, or remotely via a built Ethernet to RS232 converter port. The F200 platform is available as an option on a large range of LEA photonics models of optical amplifier, including random and polarisation maintaining versions, delivering optical output powers up to 23 dBm.
