110 Sterilisable fibre strippers “MediStrip“ were specifically developed for laser medicine applications. With the help of these fibre strippers, the buffer of optical fibres can be safely and easily removed. A range of fibre strippers covers core diameters from 200µm to 800µm, and all feature an easy-to-read laser inscription on both sides for easy identification. Special knowledge of how to use the ergonomic strippers is not required.
The MediStrip is a ‘real deal’: Even after more than 100 sterilisations in an autoclave, this device has held up without exhibiting any problems and proven to be much more economically sound than disposable products. The exact process of sterilisation has been clearly defined and validated. We were able to prove that after sterilisation the MediStrip met the requirements of sterile products. The sterilisation process is explained in the instruction manual that comes with each stripper.
The MediStrip is used, for example, during operations. Optical fibres can be easily prepared with a MediStrip (by stripping the outer buffer) and subsequently cleaved with optical quality.
