Improved Dark Signal Correction in PbS and PbSe Line Detectors

As part of regular product care CAL Sensors will be introducing another basic improvement to the linear multiplexed array (LMA) product family in the fourth quarter of 2011: Of the 256 pixels in total, the three outer pixels at the beginning and at the end of the line are blacked out. They serve as reference points for temperature regulation. With this trick, the time interval between reference measurements can be significantly increased. The dark signal pattern of this series is five times more stable than the preceding series; it enters a range that was previously only seen with photodiode arrays.
