It is a great pleasure to announce a new partner supplier Pyreos Ltd., for the supply of pyroelectric detectors. Using a unique patented technology of thin film PZT pyroelectric sensor technology developed by Siemens, coupled with the benefits of semiconductor process developements and packaging techniques, a new range of IR sensors are now available.

Pyreos' unique permanently poled thin film PZT material has a combination of performance, cost and form factor that is unmatched by any existing IR technology that may be commonplace in the market. It is without doubt that the Pyreos technology provides components that should be seen as future choice material for the next generation of IR detector components.

LASER COMPONENTS offers immediately three IR sensors, with single, double and quad IR configurations within TO-18 and TO-39 packages, ideal for gas sensing, and fire and flame detection applications. Achieving responsivity of ~1,000,000 V/W and D* ~3.5E8 cm sqrtHz/W (without windows), these new products are excellent contenders for these industries, and sample requests will be received enthusiastically.
