We are very pleased to announce our new partner SiTek Electro Optics AB, based in Sweden, who manufacture state of the art silicon position sensitive detectors (PSDs). A PSD is an opto-electronic device which converts an incident light spot into continuous position data. It provides outstanding resolution, fast response, excellent linearity for a wide range of light intensities and requires only simple operating electronic circuits.

The origins of SiTek can be traced back to the year 1976 when SiTek Laboratories AB was   founded with the aim of exploring commercial applications for PSDs, a technology based on the lateral photo effect developed by Prof. J. T. Wallmark during the sixties. Apart from supplying a large range of standard one-dimensional, two-dimensional, array and signal processing circuit (SPC) products, with SiTek's intensive R&D capability, they can manufacture customised PSDs thereby offering valuable benefits in competitive markets.

Applications include; distance measurement by optical triangulation, optical position and angular measurements, vibration measurements, 3D high speed motion analysis and machine vision, laser beam alignment, spectral analysis, X-ray beam monitoring and alignment, wind speed and direction measurement, railway line displacement, and many more.

For more details on these applications and products, please explore our website or contact us directly.
