Plug & Play Position Determination

To simplify the work involved in position determination for a user, SiTek’s proven SPC PSDs are available with an evaluation board. The SPC electronics features four individual transimpedance preamplifiers (two each for both X and Y axes) as well as sum and difference amplifiers for each direction. The PSD currents are converted to bipolar voltages, which represent the position and intensity of the center of the beam on the sensitive surface of the PSD with a high resolution. Compared to CCDs and CMOS detectors, PSDs have the advantage of a higher resolution and speed.

The inexpensive signal processing circuits are available in a compact design together with different one and two-dimensional Si PSDs.

The evaluation board makes the handling of PSDs even easier. The detector is mounted on a small PCB that can be fixed to an optical bench. All incoming and outgoing signals are connected with a 14 pol connector.
