Conversion Screens
We carry the world’s largest range of conversion screens, covering different power levels and the complete spectral range from UV to NIR. We will gladly assemble a selection of basic equipment for your laser laboratory.
Our large range of cards, which can convert invisible laser radiation to visible light, is constantly being updated. In addition to our new LDT-008R, which covers the range from 800 nm to 1600 nm, there are a number of other new items. A case that can hold several conversion screens is now available. The sturdy leather wallet is fitted for all of our conversion screens and can be equipped according to your needs. For developers it offers all versions at a glance, always neatly arranged and within reach. The question of "Who has seen my conversion card?” is one of the past. An application table shows the recommended laser power density and spectral range.
High Power Cards
All high power conversion screens (LDT-1064B, LDT-1064C, LDT-1064CL, and LDT-1064M) now exhibit the model number on the handle.
The new conversion screen with high power cards is our LDT-1064CL. Thanks to its slim 100 x 30 mm hand piece, it can be held in the most remote corners of your laser without your fingers getting too close to the laser beam. The active area measures 30 x 30 mm. The technical specifications are identical to LDT-1064C.
The high power IR conversion screens are now produced in-house and, when ordered in reasonable batch sizes, are also available in custom sizes.
All stated power levels refer to use in daylight. In darkened rooms significantly lower minimum power levels apply. Also, some stated maximum power levels can be exceeded two- or three-fold if exposure occurs only a fraction of a second or the card is moved quickly. Due to the limited heat capacity no card is suited for permanent exposure to a laser beam. They should be slightly moved. This also improves the image quality and certain low power models bleach less during movement.
Nevertheless, if a card burns please avoid eye contact and do not inhale the fumes or particles in the active area. The chemicals of the up conversion processes inside our cards – which are responsible for the visible glowing – are not poisonous, but are also not positive for your health either.
In addition, cards and holders for the IRvisualize, Uvisualize, and VISualize series are available and fit into the wallet. Fourteen conversion screens can be housed in total.
A special feature of the LDT-1064M is that it makes the transversal modes of our 100 W Nd:YAG laser visible.
