Fiber Collimator

Optical fiber collimators are used to couple light into and out of a fiber. LASER COMPONENTS offers collimators from its partners Agiltron and SEDI. Agiltron’s fiber collimators are suitable for the transmission of high power levels up to 100 W. The collimators offered by SEDI are characterized by high mechanical stability.

With the fiber collimators offered by Agiltron an output power of up to 100 W can be transmitted in an SM, PM, or MM fiber. In addition, they feature a low insertion loss, a beam diameter of 0.5 to 15 mm, and a large operating distance of > 100 m.

The innovative design of SEDI’s collimators, the lens of which is embedded in the metal pin of an FC connector, ensures their mechanical stability. Using an FC connector makes the mounting of optical senders or receivers easy. It also facilitates the cleaning and changing of elements.
