The latest addition to the Firecomms' OptoLock® optical transceivers using plastic optical fibre (POF), the IDL301T-220 offers hardened immunity to EMI/EMC interference as well as excellent ESD performance. Using an eyesafe resonant cavity light emitting diode (RCLED) and hybrid Si photodiode receiver within an easy to use connector housing, Ø1.5mm or Ø2.2mm white or black POF can be cut with a simple knife and pushed into the receptacles, to provide a 650nm 125 Mbps Fibre Optic Transceiver fully IEEE 802.3u compliant for full control over 100Mb ethernet.
Applications include any electrical noise environments for industrial vision, machine control, power systems control, wind-turbine control, solar panel tracking control and robotics.
