Retardation Plates

Retardation plates, also referred to as wave plates, produce a phase shift, the principle of which is based on polarisation.

Polarization Rotators

Rotation by 90° - also available for 45°

Polarization rotators are used to rotate the polarisation.

So-called polarisation rotators can be used to rotate the polarisation. These components are particularly easy to handle. The rotation of polarisation occurs reliably regardless of the orientation of the component with respect to the laser beam. Therefore, an alignment along the optical axis is not necessary.

At an angle of incidence of 0° of the incident beam, the polarisation of the central wavelength is rotated either by 45° or 90°. The desired rotation should be indicated.
