The origins of SiTek can be traced back to the year 1976 when SiTek Laboratories AB was founded with the aim of exploring commercial applications for Position Sensing Detectors (PSD), a technology based on the lateral photo effect discovered by Prof. J. T. Wallmark during the sixties. SiTek believes that their intensive research and development, their capability of providing customized PSDs means valuable benefits for their customers in their competitive markets.
