CODIXX’s colorPol^® RGB Polarizer Family

Image projection is the second most common technique to display information.  Large format applications enthrall the viewer’s complete visual experience using theatre projectors or home HDTV rear projection systems. Small footprints enable high quality portable systems, navigation equipment, and even tiny pico-projectors soon available in your mobile phone.  The increased light power and small form factor result in a high power density that typical film polarizers cannot handle.

CODIXX rises to the challenge and presents glass RGB polarizers that withstand extreme temperature and power conditions. These unique polarizers feature a thin glass plate with silver nano-particles embedded inside the glass surface.  Even with dielectric or metal coatings, these polarizers can be processed like glass or silicon wafers. They comply with ROHS; preserve stability over -50°C to 400°C; and are resistant to UV radiation, solvents, and most acids. The latest RGB family encompasses polarizers for the red (600-650 nm), green (500-550 nm), and blue (440-480 nm) wavelengths with at least 1,000:1 contrast ratio.

CODIXX manufactures optical polarizers for the UV, Visible, Near-IR, and Mid-IR ranges. Sizes range from 1x1 mm² to 100 x 60 mm² in round, rectangular, or custom dimensions. Standard mounted options include 12.5, 12.7 (½“), 25.0 and 25.4 (1“) mm diameters.
