New tubes for a long life expectancy.
UV/IR Viewer
When choosing an IR viewer the selection of the right image converter tube is essential. It is important to only use carefully selected new tubes. Devices employing old tubes (which usually come from old military arsenals) will most certainly have a significantly reduced life expectancy.
Both models, available at LASER COMPONENTS, count on the worldwide standardized type 6914 tube with an S1 photocathode. Its spectral sensitivity ranges from almost 400 nm to slightly above 1300 nm. Certain photocathodes are even suitable for wavelengths reaching further into the IR. Such excellent, select tubes are used in our model 86910.
