Automatic Fiber Cleaver ProCleave LD II with Program Storage for Easy Handling

NorthLab introduced the ProCleave LD II, the next generation of large-core fiber cleavers, onto the market. The ProCleave LD II has several new features that convert the ProCleave model from a manual to an automatic fiber cleaver. This new version can save up to four cleave programs that can be selected via software or directly at the unit. The tensile force no longer has to be set manually at the unit but can be set comfortably using the software.
In addition, the ProCleave LD II has a unique clamping mechanism that is set automatically to the appropriate fiber diameter; therefore, it is not necessary to carry out troublesome adjustments. Easy handling, very even breaks, high angular accuracy (< 0.5°), and absolute reproducibility make the ProCleave LD II optimally suited for use in the production environment.
To achieve optimal cleave performance, all crucial parameters are monitored and controlled automatically.
As with the previous generation, all standard fiber mounts from Fujikura, Fitel, and 3SAE can be adapted to this new generation.
Possible cladding diameters lie between 125 µm and 550 µm and coating diameters between 250 µm and 900 µm.
