ConnectFiber: Input Couplers for Single-mode, PM, and Multi-mode Fibers


Couple the light of a free-beam laser into an optical fiber easily.


Coupling the laser light of free-beam lasers in an optical fiber with a small core diameter presents a difficult challenge. Especially when using single-mode and PM fibers, very narrow tolerances – and thus high precision – are required to ensure optimal coupling efficiency.

To create less work for you, we offer the ConnectFiber fiber coupler for precisely these applications: using a mounting flange, you can connect it to your laser.
The easy-to-operate coupling optics feature excellent long-term stability and a coupling efficiency of up to 90%, which depends on individual laser parameters, for example: the wavelength (350 nm to 3000 nm), beam diameter, and mode-field diameter of the fiber to be coupled. Depending on the requirement profile, a suitable focusing lens is selected to achieve optimal transmission properties.

The fiber couplers are available on a standard basis with an FC/PC and an FC/APC connection. Further connection systems are available upon request. With a housing that is 40 mm x 40 mm x 41.5 mm in size, the ConnectFiber is particularly compact. It can be adjusted along six independent axes (2x X/Y, Z, theta).
