Increased Power by Combining Several Multi-mode Lasers

We are introducing Lightel’s new fiber-optic pump combiners for the first time.
With these passive components, the power of several multi-mode lasers is combined for high-power laser applications in order to obtain a high output power in the supply/pump fibers.
In addition to fiber lasers, this technology is also used in erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFA). This special air-clad technology from Lightel allows reliable power input coupling.
Custom designs for single-mode (SM) and polarization-maintaining (PM) fibers are available upon request.
ModeStrip TechnologiesWith additional cladding-mode strippers, undesired modes in the cladding can be safely avoided.
In pluggable connectors and supply fibers, this can also be carried out with the ModeStrip assemblies developed by LASER COMPONENTS.
