Sawed Off: Laser Optic Substrates Cut from the Rod

Using an annular saw we can cut round laser optic substrates in Olching. Whether single pieces or series production are required does not matter. Individual diameters in laser optics can easily be implemented, which benefits the customer. We are able to produce your ideal optic within a short time. LASER COMPONENTS not only manufactures the substrate but also applies the coating afterwards – all under one roof. The production steps for your individual laser optic are thus optimally synchronized.
Back to the substrate: The shape of the saw blade and the CNC control make precise cuts possible. Pieces with a thickness between 0.5 mm and 80 mm can be sawed off of the substrate rod, the diameter of which can amount up to 2”. Different types of fused silica glasses can be processed as well as the less expensive BK7.
After this step, both substrate surfaces are ground and polished. We are able to produce either plano surfaces or apply a radius. Just tell us your required specifications. We will gladly advise you on an individual basis.
