The 6000n (pss) series switches provide a solution for fiber optic protection switching. The protection service switch (PSS) can protect up to 16 RX/TX transmission channels. Power consumption is less than 25 watts. The switch can be used as a stand-alone PSS solution or as an integrated solution controlled and monitored by a network management system.
