Multichannel Environmental Test Station

Test Bench for Fiber Optics

The multi-channel fiber-optic OP-METS testing system is ideal for long-term and climate chamber tests on fiber optic components and connectors. Up to 144 single-mode and multi-mode cables can be tested simultaneously.

Special Fiber Optic Measurement Technology

Specially-designed long-term testing systems are required for the qualification and stability analysis of fiber optic cables, connectors, and components. In this field, the OP-METS developed by OptoTest is a powerful system with software for this application. Multi-mode and single-mode testing systems are available for both insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) tests. The return loss is determined via the pulse method (i.e., the fibers do not need to be attenuated via a mandrel wrap). The multi-mode sources can be specified in combination with the IEC/TIA norm for encircled flux.

The OPL-LOGMT Software is optimized for data analysis and logging. Various test chambers and sensors can be supported in the test suite. Inquire with us for a list of supported manufacturers.
