3D Optix is a spin-off company of the Femto-Nano laboratory at Tel Aviv University. With its modular BreadBox mounting platform it provides a new approach to optomechanical equipment. The new platform extends the entire optical table into the vertical dimension, creating a truly three-dimensional precise grid with discrete locations for the optical elements.
Thanks to the modular design, one can build an optical bench to hold the optical elements as well as any precise three-dimensional structure/s and to accelerate the development process. Reference designs for many common optical apparatuses allow researchers to focus on experiments and rather than alignments.
The core innovation is protected by a University patent.
