Inexpensive Fibre Coupler Available for Quartz Fibres

We are excited to announce a new product that we manufacture within our facilities. This product is an easy to mount fibre coupler for laser systems to facilitate coupling of light from free space lasers easily into a quartz fibre.

Using a mounting flange, the coupler is directly attached to the laser. This enables one to couple laser beams up to 10 mm in diametre into quartz fibres with core diametres ranging from 100 µm to 2000 µm. Using the adjustment screws and knurled wheel on the body of the coupler enables the engineer to adjust the optics inside the coupler along the x and y-axis, or to tilt them within the housing. Adjusting the optics along the z-axis to focus the coupler is achieved via a knurled wheel.

This fibre coupler is suitable for wavelengths from 400 nm to 1300 nm. The optics inside can be supplied with different AR coatings, including 400 nm to 700 nm, 633 nm to 1064 nm, or 800 nm to 1300 nm.
