Low Cost Converter Cards

Photonics News No 33

UK33-0150

LASER COMPONENTS is pleased to offer a low cost solution to aid the alignment, location and visualisation of laser beams. The VISUALIZETM range of detector cards is available from the UV (250 nm) to the NIR at 1550 nm and they have a minimum intensity as low as 1 nW/cm².  The specialised phosphor is designed for 3 separate wavelength ranges and has the advantage of not needing to be optically charged.

The UVisualize card stimulates from 250-550nm and will emit at a centred wavelength of 580nm. The phosphor is specially designed to provide long after-glow imaging.

For the visible region the VISualize cards stimulate in two bands from 400-640 nm and 800-1700nm whilst emissions are centred at 655 nm. The maximum power of this card for a CW laser is 100 W/cm² at 512 nm.

The VisualizeIR card is suitable from 790nm to 1070nm and can also be used for 1550nm whilst emission peak is centred at 550nm. It also produces a constant light output.

All of the VISualize range are available in 3 formats types, the credit card style is an ideal budget option, whereas the disc and wand is suitable where frequent component positioning is required. For beam profiling and laser alignment postioning, the optical bench mounted head provides a large free standing active area.
