Robust and easy-to-install SMA connectors are mainly used for multi-mode and POF fibres with large core diametres.
The outer ferrule diametre of SMA connectors is 3.175 mm. The ferrules themselves are available in various materials such as ARCAP and copper, which ensures good heat dissipation even at high power levels. SMA connectors are locked with knurled or hexagon nuts. In addition to classic assembly by gluing and polishing, we also offer crimp & cleave (C&C) connectors and reusable quick assembly connectors.
In addition to the standard version, there are also free-standing SMA connectors available for use in medical technology and high-power coupling, in which the fibre end face is not mounted in the connector in order to prevent power contact with the adhesive.
