ST connector systems are primarily used in telecommunications and applications with large-core fibres.
With their bayonet lock, ST connectors can be locked particularly quickly. Because of this characteristic feature, they are often referred to as bayonet fibre optic connectors (BFOCs). The outer diametre of the ferrule is 2.5 mm.
