Spatial Light Modulators (SLM)

Spatial Light Modulators (SLM) are used as adaptive optical elements that modulates light spatially in amplitude or phase. We offer devices that are based on either reflective (LCOS) or translucent (LCD) liquid crystal microdisplays.

LC 2012 LCD SLM

LC 2012 LCD SLM

The LC 2012 is a basic spatial light modulator based on a translucent LCD microdisplays with 1024 x 768 pixel and 36 μm pixel pitch.

The LC 2012 can be used for phase or amplitude modulation in the visible range. The LC 2012 provides a phase shift of about 2 π at 450 nm, about 1.8 π at 532 nm and around 1 π at 800 nm.
The drive electronics are packaged in a compact box for easy integration for optical setups.

The LC 2012 uses a standard DVI/HDMI interface and brightness and contrast settings can be changed using an USB interface. No additional software or hardware is required to use the SLM.
