Looking Back: User Workshop for DOEs
Missed the Workshop? – Simply Request the Documents Personally!
Diffractive optical elements are expensive; however, they can reduce your overall costs and stabilize your processes. Two companies presented at our workshop on the application of diffractive optical elements in industrial environments and were available at the end to field questions from participants alongside the manufacturer Holo/Or. Upon request, we will make the presentation documents available to you. But first, here is a summary of the contents:
Stefan Liebl, iwb from the Technical University of Munich, Laser Welding Aluminum in the Automobile Industry
To achieve the best results when welding aluminum, two welding processes are overlapped. At first, the laser beams of two lasers had to be coupled. Then using a beam-shaping DOE, it became possible to forego one laser. The first results meeting industrial demands have already been achieved.
Stephan Eifel, Pulsar Photonics GmbH
Beam-Shaping in Material Processing with USP Lasers
To increase the efficiency of ultra-short pulsed lasers, Pulsar Photonics equips its lasers with DOEs. Accomplished projects were presented as application examples: LTCC Process in Thick-Film Technology and Circuit Board Production, Parallel Production of Micro Springs Made of Steel, Face Seals in Tribology.
