We offer tools for a large variety of different types of fibre processing:
This includes the stripping of fibre claddings, the cleaning and cleaving of fibres, and splicing or polishing, depending on the application. Microscopes and/or interferometers are used in the analysis of fibre end surfaces.
We have tools available for all stages of processing, both for field applications and applications in the laboratory. We cover the entire range of fibre diameters to 1.2 mm.
Secure removal of the buffer from a fibre. Also available: sterilizable fibre strippers for use in the medical field.
Fibre strippers are necessary to safely remove the buffer from otpical fibres. LASER COMPONENTS offers a suitable stripper for all common fibre types.
For use in the medical field, sterilizable fibre strippers called "MediStrip" are available.
Standard stripper: The blue precision fibre stripper is particularly suited for fibres with a buffer diameter of 125 µm. The red strippers are available for different fibre diameters (from 200 µm to 1000 µm).
Adjustable fibre stripper: The yellow stripper is suitable for large core and POF fibres.
MediStrip: MediStrip was specially developed for use in the medical field. Even after 100 sterilizations inside an autoclave the strippers work flawlessly. To distinguish strippers for different fibre diameters the MediStrip comes with colour-coded handles. It is available for all common fibre types from 200 µm to 800 µm and saves money because it can be used over and over again under sterile conditions.
