The special colorPol® HT product family has enabled telecommunication application success since its introduction in 2004. CODIXX designed colorPol® HT polarizers to offer best value in transmittance and extinction ratio while exceeding demanding industry requirements.
The colorPol® HT polarizers fulfill the Telecordia standard. For example, they withstand the damp heat test over 2000 hours with a temperature of 95° Celsius and 95?% relative humidity without any performance degradation. The results apply to uncoated raw polarizers as well as AR coated polarizers.
The HT family stands for High Transmittance, high performance polarizers. Within the range of 1,200 to 2,500 nm colorPol® HT polarizers feature extinction ratios >10,000:1 and insertion losses less than 0.1 dB (transmittance >98%) with AR coating.
The unique colorPol® technology is based on doping of sodium silicate glass with prolate silver nanoparticles. All colorPol® polarizers provide high temperature stability up to +?400 °C; compliance with RoHS; and resistance against UV radiation, bleaching, and most chemicals. These glass polarizers can be processed like silicon wafers in various shapes and dimensions. Beside the standard size of 11 x 11 mm², CODIXX offers the colorPol® HT polarizers in customized sizes too, e.g. 1 x 1 mm², 75 x 50 mm² or 25 x 25 mm².
