Using nanotechnology our colorPol® polarizers offer very high contrast ratios (up to 10 million to 1) and high transmittance (up to 99%.)
colorPol® polarizers are dichroic glass polarizers. They feature a high contrast ratio and a high transmittance. Standard colorPol® polarizers are available for the UV wavelength range (355-420 nm), visible range (475 - 780 nm) and for the near to mid IR range (780 - 5,000 nmn). This portfolio is complemented by high transmittance (HT) polarizers with a trasmission >98% in the IR range (1,280 - 2,500 nm).
The latest super-thin 90 µm colorPol® series allow for further miniaturization of integrated photonics, free-space isolators, and optical communication systems at reduced cost while maintaining excellent polarization properties. Current versions are optimized for telecommunication wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1550 nm.

Applications
Polarizers are used in a wide range of diverse optical devices to pass or stop polarized light, to modulate or reduce brightness, or diminish noise. Due to their spectral and physical properties and outstanding adaptability colorPol® polarizers have many applications:
The colorPol® technology is used to create uniformly oriented prolate silver particles near the surface of soda lime glass. Due to the prolate silver particles, absorption of already polarized light occurs and non-polarized light becomes linearly polarized. The absorption is selective in reference to the wavelength of light. Beside the standard products, the flexible technology allows producing of customized polarizers with special spectral characteristics.
