LDF Multimode Indoor Cables
Multimode fibers with large core diameters (also referred to as large diameter fibers (LDFs)) are primarily processed for indoor fiber optic cables. Indoor cables are usually thinner because they do not need to be protected from adverse environmental conditions. Standard outer diameters include 2.2 mm, 2.5 mm, and 3.0 mm. In addition to the standard SI200/230 fiber with a numerical aperture of 0.37, other fiber optic cables can also be used.
