Looking Forward to the 2017 Vintage
Rolf Bogen, enologist and owner of BOGEN WEINMANUFAKTUR, from the town of Grünstadt in the Palatinate region has promised wine connoisseurs that 2017 will be an excellent year. The Indian summer decelerated the harvest; the last grapes were picked at the beginning of October and have a high must weight. Cool nights kept the late-blooming assortments, such as Burgundy and Riesling, healthy; therefore, even small amounts produced high-quality yields. Wine connoisseurs may look forward to an excellent year with ripe, fruity white wines and portly, sophisticated red wines.
