The MAP-2100 rack-based network tester is an indispensable tool for data center operators in the remote testing of transmission quality.
The integrity of the data stored in data centers and telecommunications exchanges must be ensured; most data center operators transfer their data across high-performance network connections to other data centers where backup copies are maintained. To ensure the performance of these connections and verify compliance with SLAs, data centers and network operators must often perform bit error rate (BER) measurements at Ethernet cable rates of 100 Gbit/s and more, as well as on OTN, CWDM, and DWDM lines.
In many data centers and exchanges, however, there are very few technicians – or none at all – who can perform these tests and guarantee the quality of the connections.
The MAP-2100 is designed to enable data center operators to perform powerful, unmanned network connection quality tests between data centers and corporate headquarters.
In larger networks, virtual and physical test points can be controlled with the MAP-2100 using the highly scalable VIAVI Fusion system. In many cases, the MAP-2100’s integrated and remote MTS user interface can also be used.
