Cube polarizers for easy alignment. As Glan Taylor / Glan Laser polarizers for extremely high extinction ratios.
With beam splitter cubes, single wavelengths or small wavelength ranges can be split extremely efficiently at a very reasonable price.
In general, two different types of polarization optics are used: Polarisation as a result of a coating and as a result of birefringency.
Coating-based Polarizing Cubes
Polarizing beam splitting cubes are mainly used because of their easy alignment feature. The cube polarizers are usually cemented and beam splitting occurs at a 90° angle. We offer both narrow band and broadband versions of different quality levels. Special designs were developed for high power laser applications and feature damage thresholds in the J/cm2 range.

Polarizing Prisms made from Birefringent Materials
By means of birefringence, unpolarized light is divided into two rays. Polarization of the ordinary beam runs perpendicular to the optical axis, the extraordinary beam, however, oscillates parallel to the optical axis of the crystal.
