Fiber Optic and Network Monitoring

These systems are used in the monitoring of optical fiber networks because increasing security requirements and high expectations regarding the availability of digital services make online monitoring of the optical fiber as a transmission medium more and more of a necessity.

Based on products for network analysis and package recording, so-called NPMD products are also offered; these products examine network data and perform a complete package analysis.

Series 7000 Optical Matrix Switch

Series 7000

The 7000n series is currently the only solution available on the market with up to 384x384 channels/ports. This series is characterized by reliability, a high channel count, and SDN capability.

The 7000n series consists of matrix switches up to 348x348 fiber optic ports. This is the current industry standard for high-channel applications. This series is characterized by low insertion loss, a compact design, and fast switching times. Software defined networking (SDN) is supported, and the integrated interface for OpenFlow and NETCONF opens all possibilities for modern network topologies. Versions from 4x4 up to 348x348 channels are available.

Features:

  • Non-blocking
  • Up to 348x348 ports
  • Low insertion loss
  • Symmetrical (NxN) and asymmetrical (MxN) versions available
  • Can hold and switch dark-fiber (unswitched) connections (no light required for switching)
  • Fully transparent; bidirectional
  • Protocol neutral up to 400 Gbit/s and above (purely optical)
  • Customer-configurable performance alerts
  • OpenFlow, NETCONF, NMP, TL1, SCPI
  • Can be integrated, for example, into QualiSystem’s TestShell and CloudShell
  • Can be integrated into SDN controllers such as OpenDaylight
