The International WORKshop on IR Technologies is an annual event held alternately in Olching and in the USA.  

It focuses on new developments in all areas of IR technology such as detectors, sources and filters, instrument subsystems, and commercial applications. The event concept is based on a sequence of short presentations in which all the relevant information is given in a concise and pointed manner. However, the exchange of thoughts, concepts and ideas is not neglected either. The IR WORKshop has always been appreciated as a good opportunity to establish new connections between research and industry.
