Hollow Silica Fibres
Hollow-core fibres are mainly used in CO2 and Er:YAG lasers to ensure optimum transmission of infrared wavelengths. The cavity is internally coated with silver and silver iodide to form a dielectric IR reflector. Hollow-core fibres are often used in laser marking, printing, and cutting. As cables with robust protective jackets made of acrylate, they can even withstand adverse environmental conditions in industrial applications.
