Dual-junction Diodes Meet Automotive Quality Standards

When it comes to laser sources for advanced driver assistance systems such as gesture control, two features matter: brightness for better system performance and an operating temperature that meets the stringent requirements of the automotive industry. You get both at an affordable price with the VD 0940V-015M-xx-2B0 VCSEL diode.

Dual-junction technology provides a bright light with an output power of 15 mW at an operating current of 8 mA and the highest possible conversion efficiency of 52%. In addition, VCSEL diodes traditionally have a good beam quality: with a divergence of only 25°, the round beam can be coupled in a wide range of applications. Thus, this laser diode is particularly well suited for a variety of applications such as face recognition and 3D obstacle detection in vacuum robots.

At an operating temperature of -40° to 85°C, it works smoothly even under extreme conditions. The same applies to all other requirements of the automotive industry.
