The RCLEDs of the FC300 series were developed for data transmission using POF fibers and allow transmission rates of up to 205 Mbps according to IEE-1394b. With a broad operating temperature range from –40° to +95 °C and an output power of 1 mW as well as a very high coupling efficiency into the POF the LEDs are perfectly suited for automotive applications. Further applications include consumer electronics and medical devices. Suitable receivers are also available.
