The NIR-MPX series 10 GHz Phase Modulator



LASER COMPONENTS is the proud supplier of Photline Technologies’ modulators. The NIR-MPX series are phase modulators especially designed to operate in the 1000 nm wavelength band. They are available with various modulation bandwidths, from low frequency to 10 GHz and beyond. Like all our Near Infra-Red (NIR) modulators, the NIR-MPX series use a proton exchanged based waveguide process that delivers an unparalleled stability and a high photo-refractive threshold.

We are pleased to announce the release of the NIR-MPX-LN-02 phase modulator. This 2 GHz device is the latest addition to the NIR-MPX-LN 1000 nm band phase modulators series that now offers a complete range starting at 100 MHz, to 2 GHz, then 5 GHz, and also 10 GHz as standard devices. The NIR-MPX-LN-20 is available at special request, and is generally easy to select in our production yield.

The NIR-MPX-LN-02 offers an interesting bandwidth/Vπ combination that makes it very attractive for spectral broadening applications.
