Invasive fibres are fibres that are used inside the body for medical purposes.
Depending on the application, different versions of invasive fibres can be manufactured. This generally concerns bare fibre pigtails, which are equipped on one side with an SMA connector. The other side is typically cleaved or equipped with so-called fibre tips such as a spherical lens.
Upon request, we can also supply coded fibres (i.e., containing an RFID identifier).
Typical applications include kidney stone fragmentation, pneumology, and tissue ablation.
