Thermopiles

Thermopiles are thermal detectors that detect constant light signals. Broadband-sensitive thermopiles are used in laser power measurement, general radiation measurement, absolute temperature measurement, and gas analyzers.

Thermopile Detectors

MTS1 Thermal IR Detector

Highly sensitive long-life thermopile detectors for temperature measurement and gas analysis.

Thermo-electric IR detectors of the MTS series are designed to detect broadband IR radiation in non-contact temperature measurement and NDIR gas analysis.

Thermopiles use the Seebeck effect to generate electrical voltage from thermal diffusion currents consisting of two metals. This voltage is then transmitted and used as a measurement signal.

The detectors of Micro-Hybrid’s MTS consist of a MEMS-based thin-layer system on a silicon substrate and are known for their durability and outstanding sensitivity.
