Energy Detectors

Gentec-EO’s QE series energy meters feature the highest damage threshold possible at a simultaneously high repetition rate. These QE detectors are available with square apertures starting from 12 x 12 mm  and going up to 95 x 95 mm.

There are 2 different coatings for these detectors:

• The metallic MT coating is for lasers with a higher repetition rate. If the pyrodetector is connected to an oscilloscope, for example, it can be used at a repetition rate of up to 6 kHz.
• The multiband MB coating has the highest damage threshold of all energy meters of its class.

All detectors can be equipped with additional attenuators that significantly increase the maximum permissible power as well as the energy density, thus allowing damage thresholds of 8 J/cm² at 1064 nm (7 ns, 10 Hz) to be achieved. By opting for a heat sink an average output power of up to 45 W can be used. The maximum measurable energy is 250 J.
