Similar to photomultipliers, avalanche photodiodes are used to detect extremely weak light intensities. Si APDs are used in the wavelength range from 250 to 1100 nm, and InGaAs is used as semiconductor material in APDs for the wavelength range from 1100 to 1700 nm.

Pulsed laser diodes (PLDs) are available in the wavelengths 850 nm, 905 nm and 1550 nm. All of our PLDs are developed and manufactured at LC. Customer-specific requests can be accommodated.

IR detectors have been a part of our standard product range at LASER COMPONENTS for almost three decades. A distinction is made between sensors for the near infrared range (NIR) from 1.0 µm to 2.5 µm and those for the mid-infrared range (MIR) above 2.5 µm. IR detectors of all modes of operation are a part of our product portfolio and leave nothing to be desired.

Our in-house production includes FLEXPOINT^® lasers for all standard applications and for machine vision, as well as low-cost OEM modules.

Optical filters are the most widely used method of customizing broadband radiation detectors for various applications. There are different designs available such as beam splitters and bandpass, band-stop, short-pass, and long-pass filters.
Here the wavelength range extends from the UV to the FIR. Our IR filters can be found in the product section of the IR components.
