Award ceremony at Schleißheim Palace
LASER COMPONENTS Germany is one of the fastest-growing medium-sized companies in the Free State of Bavaria and made the list of "Bavaria's Best 50" in 2024. As a symbol of this success, Patrick Paul, CEO of the parent company PHOTONA GmbH, and Sven Schreiber, General Manager of LASER COMPONENTS Germany GmbH, received the "Bavarian Growth Lion" from the hands of Minister of State Hubert Aiwanger at yesterday's award ceremony.
Each year, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy presents this award to medium-sized companies that achieved an above-average increase in the number of employees and turnover in recent years. In doing so, the Ministry recognizes the economic and social importance of SMEs, as they continue to provide the majority of jobs and apprenticeships in Bavaria whilst their innovative power forms the backbone of Bavarian prosperity.
"We are proud of the fact that our company has grown steadily in the more than 40 years of its existence. This applies to our staff numbers just as much as it does to our turnover," explains Patrick Paul, it is particularly important to me that we are talking about organic and healthy growth here. We don't think in quarters, but in decades, and this strategy has helped us to survive the crises of the past."
"Being a manufacturer of highly specialized optical and optoelectronic components, we always work closely with our customers," adds Sven Schreiber. "This approach can only be successful with comprehensive face-to-face consultation and support. Economic growth and personnel growth therefore always go hand in hand. It has always been important to our company to offer long-term prospects to qualified and talented employees."
