Short-Pass and Long-Pass Filters
Short and long pass filters are also known as edge filters.
Edge filters with very short transitions between stopband and transmission range.
Dichroic filters are edge filters for color separation used under diagonally incoming light.
By using proprietary 'Quasar' technology, the transition in both SP and LP filters between the 50% cut-off or cut-on to rejection is quite sharp.
